Description: A trade union newspaper of social democratic alignment. The Appenzeller weavers’ newspaper was the official organ of the Allgemeiner Verband der Seidenbeuteltuch-Weberei and the Appenzellischer Weberverband and was printed in folio format (Rheineck: Albert Indermaur). Its successor titles were the Ostschweizerische Industrie-Zeitung (1901-1904, printed in quarto, Albert Indermaur in Rheineck) and from 1904 the Textilarbeiter (Organ des Allgemeinen Schweizerischen Textil-Arbeiter-Verbandes. Zur Wahrung der Interessen aller in der Textilbranche beschäftigten Arbeiter und Arbeiterinnen, der Spinner, Weber, Handsticker, Schifflisticker, Wirker, Flechter, Färber, Drucker, Bleicher, Appretierer etc. und der Hilfsarbeiter), 1916-1919 and 1941 in quarto, otherwise in folio, printed 1904-1906 in Rheineck at A Indermaur, 1906-1910 in Zurich (Conzett & Cie), 1910-1928 in Bern (Unionsdruckerei), from 1929 in Zurich (Genossenschaftsdruckerei)), from 1981 in Glattbrugg (Th.
