Description: A successor to the socialist weekly Le Peuple valaisan, this "worker and farmer" weekly was published from May 2, 1936. It intended to become "the fighting organ" of the workers and farmers of Valais, whom it aimed to gather together in a brotherly union freed from traditional political shackles. In its own words, it did not intend to compete with the professional press, but to supplement it with a weekly column for the workers, with the primary goals of combating Christian-social organizations and working for the defense of all workers in the canton. It became a monthly in August 1937, then ceased publication in October 1939.
