Description: Initially subtitled "Settimanale di Publicazione della Valle di Poschiavo", was first issued in quarto then in folio format. Today, this weekly paper identifies itself as a "settimanale indipendente del grigioni italiano" [independent paper of the Italian Grisons]. Il Grigione italiano was first published on July 3rd 1852 (after 5 sample issues in May and June) until December 26th 1891, then from July 1st 1893 until today. Numerous issues between 1852 and 1900 are missing in this on-line version because the originals could not be found until now.
